WEP Wi-Fi security has been known as an easy-to-crack security protocol for a while now, which is why it was superseded by the more secure Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) standard. But now a PhD candidate studying encryption has found an exploit in the WPA standard that would allow a hacker to "send bogus data to an unsuspecti (Read More)

: "Pretty cool, I thought. But it wasn’t until very recently that I put it all together (sometimes I’m a little slow on these things, perhaps!) that adding a note to a shared item actually tacks that note directly onto your FriendFeed thread."
: I get all that... I do. But I still am very uncomfortable with social media sites that publish full text articles without permission. What's the thinking behind doing that ?

: So how do the hard working folks keep the new liberal president and the largely democratic senate and house out of our pockets. The one thing that we cannot afford is 12% unemployment, 12% annual cost of living increases, tax rates doubling accross the board, etc that has been seen when liberalism runs rampant. So where does the small business man go when the mandates that our new president says he will pursue makes it impossible to stay afloat and we die, along with our employees joining the unemployment lines..... We can only hope that he is a smart as the "majority" thinks he is and he does not play the stupid card.

Barack Obama, soon to become the 44th President of the U.S.A., is many things: a statesman, a lawyer, an author, and an orator. It is also our opinion at GeekDad that, even without knowing him personally, we have enough evidence to demonstrate that he is a big geek. Even if you didn't want him to win the election, you (Read More)

: @sumanth I'm really sorry about what happened there, and it's nice to see you took a moment to laugh. What's the mood like over there today? It's hard to tell from all the tweets. You guys will be in my thoughts today, regardless!
: @michaelfidler . Its really tragic. Today the operations are on. Officials say, they clear it up in a couple of hours. Some hostages are to be rescued. Hope it will be done soon.

Yesterday was probably one of the most exciting days of this year, if not the past 4 when it comes to the possibilities of emerging media being pushed to the forefront and actually being a factor in something very important in not just our nation's history but quite possibly world history. Yes, the United States elected it (Read More)

: "One of my sources on the inside told me that it was some of the people who were on Dean's 2004 campaign team that came in and built upon what they knew, and that doesn't surprise me in the least. Not only did they learn the power of the infamous "Dean Scream" hitting YouTube, but they learned the power of fundraising and brought that to the Obama campaign, improved on it and turned it into a finely tuned machine. So much so that the majority of Obama's donations came from donors giving $200 and under.
So what kind of technology did Obama use? Let's take a quick, deep look at what was implemented."
