Rob Diana just wrote “Sorry Twitter, Facebook is The Data Gold Mine.”First, let’s go back to Ronn Owens. He’s a talk show host on KGO Radio. Actually, he’s the #1 rated talk show on the #1 station in San Francisco (if you exclude nationally-syndicated radio guys like Limbaugh). I was listening the day he discovered Twitter. (Read More)
: Yes but Google will buy Twitter (for twitter search) and MS will buy Facebook after completing their long delayed Yahoo transaction. Thus both FB and Twitter shareholders win and receive Gold.

As social networking and social media sites increasingly become as much about companies and brands as they are about people, you are seeing names like Zappos and JetBlue tweeting alongside you, and Comcast answering complaints. Companies might be making comments on FriendFeed and asking you to join their fan page on Faceboo (Read More)
: I absolutely advocate the use of separate browsers to manage multiple accounts. It's much easier than having to delete flubs published under the wrong account.
: I use multiple desktops in Ubuntu which allows me to shift back and forth between business and personal. I've also created multiple Twitter accounts to further segment my audience. http://akmysticventures.com

Not every single contact you make online is somebody you would want to spend time with in real life. While you might be following thousands of people and making new "friends" on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, FriendFeed and all the other networks, you would likely hesitate before sending them an open invitation to your home. : I'm sure I've had this happen elsewhere, but I had a meeting just the other night with someone with whom I have interacted on social networks yet never met in person. This was a business meeting and nothing intimate was really revealed, I feel we built from a strong base already created online.
: Talking to different people is amazing because everybody can talk and discuss to the various of subjects. And, it's not difficult having real friends to any different networking. It depends on how we define the Friend. For me, a friend is anyone with who I wish sharing interesting thoughts but it is not systematically a Lovely one with who I want spending time in life. I have friends from different networking for exchanging different cultures: language, foods, fashion, news, ..... I have differents friends for businesses too but I have no intimate with. About intimate, it so great if 2 people sharing really the most same things, most compatibility, most complementarity to everything. It so nice taking time to know on what we are really want to see to a partner because we couldn't change partner everytime! It based on real LOVE. To Social Media, is Friend is Really a Friend? After my Friend definition, I have a great and real friend!

Yesterday the FriendFeed team announced integration with instant messaging services that allows users to send updates to FriendFeed right from the IM dialogue and also see and reply to new comments on their posts and be updated when new items are posted by friends. At this stage the FriendFeed IM only works with Google Talk (Read More)
: "I expect that people will start using friends lists on FriendFeed much heavier now that IM integration is introduced as some users will hardly want to get all the updates via IM from all the people they subscribe to (and FriendFeed can easily get way too noisy if you follow more than a hundred of people). I am quite sure the majority of heavy users will choose to only receive IM updates from the people that are actually important enough to be delivered in real time."

: @cass Try commenting when you share, instead of after sharing. If you comment after sharing socialmedian does not re-crawl and place the story again.
: @scottwheaton Just as an FYI - yep, I comment at the point of sharing, using g reader's 'share with note' function, if that's what you mean. Still does not import over. I'm ok with it, but just in case you guys would like to look into it :)
