: This in addition to the wet ballots that don't even go in the machines correctly. The failures always occur in the states where the contest is the closest and where there is historical voting problems. Not surprised at all, but from what I hear from the Campaign Manager for a Virgina State wide office, these problems are not stopping voters.
: When I voted in Fairfax we were given two options to vote - I don't know if this was because the other was not working or what. We could chose to vote on the old familiar electronic ballot or a "new" paper ballot. It seemed to me that everyone I saw was choosing the paper ballots over the electronic. As to the time frame and process I was pleased that I picked a time when I could walk in and out within 5 minutes. My other half got in line at 5:45 this morning and waited about 45 minutes to vote.
