Dec 29, 2008

Submitted by Brianwisti: Despite cartoons you may have seen showing a straight line of fish emerging on land to become primates and then humans, evolution is not so linear. : Definitely a good impression. My only beef with Twitter vs. Plurk is that Plurk makes conversations easy, while Twitter has been more of a broadcast medium. When I reply to a tweet, I have to hope that it attaches to the right one. This may make things easier.

Dec 16, 2008

observer.guardian.co.uk From Hollywood to Tokyo, London and Jerusalem, furious victims are demanding answers. : Corruption reigns there is no such thing as easy money ... I sense there's worse to come still in 2009 before this mess is cleared out 2011+.

: This is disturbing. Corruption is always a factor in any system, but the events of our time may live in history books as a cautionary tale like the Teapot Dome scandal. Until the next epic failure, of course.

: Why on earth is Madoff holed up at his $9m penthouse on New York's Upper East Side still, why has he not been arrested and charged with wholesale theft? Who is protecting him the regulators? Grorge Bush should resign and leave the White House now, he does not deserve to remain in office having presided over such a fiscal fiascoe. Bring on the new man at once, and let the International Court at Hague investigate what appears to be widespread corruption in the centered in the heart of the American financial industry. No one can believe that senior movers and shakers in the American Banking system did not percieve what has been going on with losses on such a colosal scale. It seems like a volcano has erupted in their midst and they were pretending it was not happening. It is beyond belief that they were unaware and if they say they were they should be sacked on the spot for gross incompetance. They are doing nothing. The American Government is now a total farce! How will any country in the world be able to trust American financiers. Bring Madoff out of his penthouse and place him in custody and NO PLEA BARGAINS
