The other day I was driving down a road that I hadn’t driven in a while when I noticed a grand opening sign at an eatery of sorts. Someone had decided to make an attempt at building a business where a barbecue restaurant had earlier failed. (Read More)

: This has been my experience with network marketing as well. The company I represent has been based on the Golden Rule since it began 53 years ago. I think if everyone helps each other, we all receive benefits. Online, we can help other marketers in all kinds of ways, and learn from others as well.
: You're so right Steve. In the churn and burn world of traditional business one rule stands head and shoulders above the rest: find some way to keep from competing with others in your general industry or die. In this age of daily emerging MLMs the most sensible way to enact this golden rule is to let the others duke it out for market attention while quietly helping wherever possible. No one in that fracas will ever notice … at least until they see where their clients are going. ;-)

: Hi 5 folks - good to see there is a format when setting your stall out online its good advice to host your own domain name Ive practiced setting up blogs by the free hosting way and use these to test what the content I add to them looks like and mostly they look fine but I still feel I don't own it as I'm aware they could be shut down for any reason the suppliers feel fit to turn them off - so to me hosting your own online property is the best advice anyone can take onboard
: Learning is a life long endeavor. We learn through books and so books will always be a very important part of life. The technology we have today affords us different ways to access books and having choices is a good thing. The association that Howard Dean has formed with Progressive Book Club appears to be based on values and progress.
: I see that Howard Dean has written about health care reform, but I wish there were more about his views on the subject? I have grave misgivings about a bureaucracy managing the health care of our citizens. It just makes natural methods for prevention even more important. But he is a great addition to the Progressive Book Club and I know they're delighted to have him.

: Hi 5 folks - its a lot harder than it should be? - just coming up with a decent topic that other folks would want to share in-turn helping you to get your content seen by many and just posting one post to any of the social bookmarking sites seem to get buried very quickly you just need to lock on to any of these sites to see the endless streams of new posts getting knocked down the long lists of new threads being posted on a daily basis - so in todays networking environment you need to tackle your exposure tactics more like a science than just being friendly simply because there are so many competing for those eyeballs in the first place - first places lol
: Good information that everyone from the newbie to the most experienced can benefit from. Blogging is hard work, with persistence, duplicable systems and the right information for accessing good traffic is the ideal situation for attracting people through your sales funnel/tunnel.

“I read the news today, oh boy” is the opening line from the Beatles song “A Day in the Life”. But yesterday it went well beyond “oh boy” when I was left dazed and confused by the stupidity in the news.I mean there are some days when I read articles in the news and I just sit shaking my head mainly due to all the negativity (Read More)
I remember that song, and if you listen to it you find the line about the story teller , who "... just had to laugh. He didn't notice that the lights had changed." is no less sick and twisted.
I use this bit of Beatles trivia to illustrate a point you eluded at in this post: competing companies play on the common consumer's tendency to "believe what they see" (or hear). The point is, if it's coming from a "reputable source", then it must be true.
Chalk up one more point for President Ronald Reagan who coined the phrase, "Trust, but verify".
: Hey Jim, like you when I read the newspaper or watch the news I too am dumbfounded by really what the 'newsies' pertain to be news.
Maybe lucky for you with the US's strict guidelines for things your water is good, but for those of us due to Council or Government ineffiences bottled water is definitely a go and we do become sceptical of so called improvements.

We don’t like to admit it, but we many times judge the book by its cover when meeting new people. Men are not excluded from these pre-judgments, and they too feel the pressure of looking good. Within the past few years, skin products for men have become more popular and with that sometimes it’s difficult to choose which is (Read More)
: This has been a great omission in my health regimen. I greatly appreciate the information. It has given me a new perspective on the need to take care of my skin. It is, after all, the largest organ in our bodies. Thank you again!
: Sometimes we make fun of men's interest in their skin - like on Frasier, when Marty would roll his eyes when Frasier & Niles discussed a seaweed wrap. But personally I think it's healthy to care about our appearance and skin. You go, men!

The CBS 60 Minutes show aired a special about anti-aging resveratrol back in January, 2009. This evening they updated the story. The laboratory research that began with mice and monkeys have moved to humans. First, there was a pre-diabetic group participating in resveratrol studies, and results were very positive. Right now (Read More)
: I am very familiar with this study and with Resveratrol, but I'm doubtful that one single nutrient can stop aging. Still, it's exciting research and certainly more palatable than extreme calorie restriction. I've tried that and was miserable. Being hungry all the time isn't fun.
: I had never heard of Resveratol and and the studies being conducted. It's great to see they are having positive results. Who knows what the future may hold if it really does prove to be extremely beneficial.
: I had never heard of the research resveratrol until now. So what I understand that resveratrol pill may help people fight disease and anti-aging. What kind of results have Shaklee anti-aging resveratrol plus polyphenols had? Are you taking this supplement and have you seen any results?

: It's true that you can have multiple streams of income, or passive income, with a home business. I've always been uneasy about depending on just ONE source of income, so with an online business, especially, it's possible to have lots of different sources for your money. That way if one goes sour, there are replacements. One more reason to love the Net! :-)
: Definitely, there are more people beginning to realize that home business and working for yourself is the way to go. Nobody can ever tell you that you are laid off or fired. And yes, your right, with the ability to add multiple income streams, it's smart not to put all of your eggs into one basket.
: Home business are a great way to make additional income. I've started my internet business with no income or traffic. It been watching my small website grow and it's especially fun to see my pages first on google. I find that the tax advantages are the biggest advantage of creating a home based business.

Apple and their iPhone App Store have been in the news quite a bit lately - and not in a good way. A series of high-profile application rejections and generally poor decision-making regarding their application approval process have led many iPhone advocates to question the cult of Apple - and their vague, preposterous stand (Read More)
: This will all work itself out. Apple and the iPhone App Stores are still a bit draconian in their methods. They've always been that way though. Overall, I think the upcoming competition from Blackberry and Nokia can only be good for us consumers as prices come down and more bells and whistles are added and the apps become simpler and more user friendly. Ding - round 2
: The tools that are around for Twitter are amazing. It's seems every other day I'm discovering something else out that is helpful to the Twitter crowd. They really didn't imagine how big this would get when they created Twitter, it's hard to keep up.
