: I think what has been said in the article is applicable in everything we do. Our subconscious mind is indeed very powerful. Most of us don't get to realize how it can affect our actions. It is very good then to train our subconscious mind on what to absorb and accept. Having a positive outlook in life greatly helps for you to have a well subconscious mind. : I often wonder about the pressures from others whenever we're trying to escape a bad habit, whether smoking or anything else. I think part of it is guilt - even the most avid smoker can't pretend it's a healthy habit and if someone else leaves the smoking fraternity, it's a reminder that they need to do likewise.

: Boy can I relate to this. Being a smoker for so many years, and having tried quitting many times I can tell you it is very tough being around other smokers. As smokers we do realize that it's harmful to others around us, and most of us are willing to accommodate as much as we can. It's one nasty habit, I'd wished I'd never started for sure!

: I know that water is very important to our health and longevity, and I love to drink water. In fact, water is what I mostly drink. It always amazes me when I talk to people who don't drink much water. The hidden calories and high sugar of many drinks is not only unhealthy but not good for our minds or spirits either. : Our bodies function according to what we feed them. It would make sense to me that eating healthy would help all people at all times. We do know that certain foods and ingredients trigger specific menopause symptoms. If a women does not want to have those symptoms she should stay away. We have so much information available to us now that women before us did not have. We should take advantage, especially if it will help us.

: I heard something last week on a webinar about leadership that it may take a while to make a decision but then it should not take much time to put it into action. It makes sense to take the time to make the right decision, not forever though. And you are right, you can make changes. The key for leadership is action.

: Yes, all the great leaders that I've met lead with action. At least if we act we can then respond to the feedback mechanism that tells us if we are on the right track or not. Just thinking is a closed circuit where no useful feedback can ever come back.
