: Eyebee, it depends where your fruit and veg come from. Are they in season, and local or flown in from another hemisphere? Sometimes eating meat can be a better choice -like eating wild kangaroo (but only if your in Australia).Eat less full stop is better for us, and the environment!
: I am currently trying to lose some weight, and eating less is the major way to tackle it. Not jsut eating less but eating more 'real' food. I've never been a fast, junk or processed food fan anyway.
We often buy local fruit and veg from roadside stalls, or the local farmers market, so yes to local and seasonal produce for the most part.

: The last line about adding scientific weight to the notion that broccoli might be good for you suggests that there is little evidence. Not so. There's lots of evidence to support it's value as an antioxidant, a good supplier of calcium, etc. It's a super-vege. : The "X is dead" trend is one of the worst things about the whole 2.0 phenomenon, just behind "Y is the next Z killer". If all you do is blog about blogging, of course you're going to peter out. It's not rocket science, people!
: Maybe the ostriches are being forced to pull their heads from the sand of inane media and go out and actually do something - instead of the endless blithering of those vain enough to think others should listen to them!
