Boston has many vegan and vegetarian-friendly restaurants. Last night the boyfriend and I ate dinner at Ten Tables in Jamaica Plain. This cozy, intimate restaurant (it actually has eleven tables) has been on our to do list for awhile, but we don’t often get to JP for dinner. We had a great time and Boston has many similar c (Read More)

: OK, OK, you've convinced me! I have to take a trip to Boston! :-) The picture of the meal you ate looks absolutely luscious! I especially like the idea of eating produce 'in season' because we're more likely to eat local that way. Even at Whole Foods I notice produce from places like Chile and Guatemala and I know the controls on organic aren't nearly as stringent there so we don't really know what we're getting. Local produce is much safer.

: Yeah, good point here. How many of us have an agenda when were talking with a new prospect or contact. Take the time to build a relationship. That leaves the door open for new beginnings.
: I think humans have a very strong need to know why and how. We have a hard time simply being in the "unknown" or the "mystery", which is the same to me as wanting closure.
: Hilarious. Talking about standing next to the guy w/ BO had me ROFL. I guess the good thing about Twitter is you don't stand the chance of getting slugged by that guy.

Anyone out there who's trying to get retweeted knows that it's harder than you think - sometimes the tweets you most expect will get retweeted don't, and you're left asking yourself, "What's so great about that guy's tweets that they get retweeted all the time, but mine never do?"There are three factors that I think determi (Read More)

I will refer to it when the time comes.

: Hi five folks - when I tried MLM what I was taught was especially with certain products and depending on which products chosen - was its best if you use the product yourself so you understood what it was all about before you sold it on to a customer because some how I was told the prospect would be more in tune with you if you honestly spoke about the product from experience and I think I got the message back from my own customers with repeat orders - some how the pay structure was the last thought in my mind and thats probably the reason I drifted away from MLM I should have read a post like yours before I went in to MLM - then MLM might have turned out differently - what i did like about the MLM biz was the enthusiasm spread by the most successful dealers in this MLM industry it was very refreshing and a buzz going to the distributors meetings a lot of marketing knowledge can be learned through this kind of salesmanship model -
: I agree that all MLM compensation plans are flawed you just have to find one that you can live with. All these plans sound great in the beginning but somehow all them money seems to go to just a few.

I really like your point about looking for people that are on fire about what they do and supporting them. Although it may take a few years, supporting a network of enthusiastic, positive people could lead to all sorts of incredible openings down the track.

: I am a fervent supporter of positive discrimination in favour of women since I visited the north african country of Tunisia which for me is proof of the economic and social advancement of an entire nation when you give the girl child a chance to pursue their dreams to the highest levels of education. As the farsighted lawyer and founding father of that Arabic country said "teach a boy and you provide for a family - teach a girl and you teach an entire nation." for who takes the time to do homework with kids and motivates them to be successful?

: Wow, I hadn't read about this, I have seen that you can use Twitter not only as a social medium, but also a money making venture.
I think maybe not only is the moral of the story 'think before you tweet' - why is it that you're tweeting in the first place, is it to brand yourself for business, keep in touch with friends and family?
I think with technology the way it is, we've forgotten the good ole days of 'the telephone', not texting or emailing and actually visiting people in person, where one can.
Twitter is now the modern day version of 'bush telegraph'!!
: Twitter is a great way to get the word out of what you are promoting. I really need to learn how to use it more effectively just like many other social networks. Each one is different and many are not easy to use effectively.
