: This tool worked pretty well as soon as I realized that it didn't want me to input the full URL. I had to eliminate the 'http://' part before it would run. It would be nice to put a little example text on the page or, even better, reprogram it so it doesn't care whether or not the 'http://' is included. The current situation where you get an error message with no explanation is disconcerting.In any case, providing this seems like an effective marketing tactic. I may just have to copy it!

: @rickdavis I guess it depends on what you were found for :) Many companies I work with can't even come up in the search results with their own names, but some do. You can try to change the content on your page, along with your meta data and see if that helps you over time. It works for me: do a search for "better marketing performance" :)

: I think it is a brilliant move. This gives a human voice to the brand that consumers will appreciate. After all consumers eat the candy why not learn and interact directly with the people that spend the money on their product? The boost in media attention is also brilliant. I think I'll go buy some Skittles now... I forgot that I like them.

Now addressing the Twitter bit - I'm not the best of twitterererers mainly because I'm a bit over the fact that people tell me they are going shopping, doing the house cleaning and range of other inane communications - I have yet to work out how to use Tweetdeck as I hear twittered about I can filter those that insist on being inane and concentrate on those who have something interesting to share. On average, the ratio of male to female Facebook users is .85, meaning that there are significantly more Female facebook users than male ones. This plays out with general trends in social networking gender demographics, which tend to show a predominantly female base of users. Looking deeper and viewing Facebook’s gender demographics on a national basis, though, we find some stark differences which break down along less obvious lines. The three most “feminine” countries, Russia, Poland, and Lithuania, are all European countries, each with a ratio of almost 2 female Facebook users for every male facebook user. In fact, the majority of large European countries are neutral or leaning feminine, with the notable exception of Turkey, which shows a strong male demographic.
