: My vote goes to @fredwilson. He's one of the few people I subscribe to on Twitter via SMS as I always find his tweets insightful and thoughtful on all things VC, web 2.0, startup, twitter, the financial markets, music, and nyc.

: I guess my question for @barackobama would be whether or not it's actually him doing the tweeting? Especially given that I never followed him.

Either way, he certainly did a lot to bring Twitter into the consciousness of the mainstream, so maybe that gets him the award regardless.

My personal favorite tweeters are @geoffliving, @danpatterson and the indefatigable @dough (Doug Haslam)
